A growing number of Americans age 65 and older are shunning traditional retirement and continuing to work, part-time or full-time. And 37% of employees say they expect to work past 70, according to a 2018 Willis Towers Watson survey.

While more employees are pushing back retirement age, their reasons for staying in the workforce vary. Here’s a look at five people who are working in their late 60s or beyond and their varying motivations:
